Pichon Comtesse 2025 Released + An Exclusive Dinner Invitation
|
Hello ,
Grace and power rarely coexist so seamlessly as they do at Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande. One of Pauillac's most celebrated estates, Pichon Comtesse has long distinguished itself through a style defined not by sheer force, but by purity, precision, and elegance.
Under the stewardship of the Rouzaud family since 2007, the estate has continued its ascent through meticulous vineyard work, a long-term commitment to organic and biodynamic farming, and an unwavering pursuit of excellence. The result is a portfolio of wines that remain among the most coveted of the Médoc.
Today, we are pleased to offer the 2025 Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande En Primeur.
The 2025 growing season presented significant challenges, with low yields demanding careful decision-making throughout the year. Through rigorous selection and exacting attention in both vineyard and cellar, the estate produced a wine of remarkable clarity and balance. Composed of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, and 4% Cabernet Franc, the wine offers lifted aromatics, finely sculpted tannins, and impressive freshness. At 13% alcohol, it captures the essence of Pauillac while retaining the effortless finesse that has become synonymous with Pichon Comtesse.
Additionally, we are delighted to share that Nicolas Glumineau, General Manager and Head Winemaker of Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande and Château de Pez, will join us in NYC for a special dinner on July 28th. Since arriving at Pichon Comtesse in 2012, Nicolas has overseen one of the most impressive periods in the estate's modern history, further elevating its standing among Bordeaux's elite properties. The evening will offer guests the opportunity to hear Nicolas's perspective on the evolution of the château, its unique terroir, and the philosophy that guides the production of these extraordinary wines.
Whether securing an allocation of the 2025 vintage or joining us on July 28th, we look forward to sharing this exceptional estate with you.

What the Critics Are Saying:
Ch. Pichon Comtesse
96-98 points, Antonio Galloni, www.vinous.com:
“The 2025 Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande is a total stunner. A wine of depth and intensity, it soars out of the glass with layers of nuance and complexity. Pichon Comtesse is shaping up to be one of the wines of the vintage.”
Reserve de la Comtesse
94 points, Georgina Hindle, decanter.com:
“Floral fragrance, lots of purple flowers on the nose with aromatic blue and black berry fruit. Supple and so creamy, this is just gorgeous from the get go, smooth and round, crushed velvety in texture with a slight grip, slight bounce and slight tension. The juicy content is just so great, pure, crystalline, a lick of salty, wet stone, slate, oyster shell. Very Pauillac in the undertone of mint, Cab liquorice and tobacco but so elegant. I love it.”
Pez, Saint Estephe
93-95+ points, Jeb Dunnuck, www.jebdunnuck.com:
“A seriously good Saint-Estèphe in the making, the 2025 Château De Pez opens with rocking aromatics of cassis, attractive red fruit, flowers, and chocolate. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied and round, with a beautifully layered mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great, great finish. This is one hell of an impressive barrel sample.”

Our Expert's Take on the 2025 Vintage: |
The story of 2025 begins with one defining factor: low yields. A dry, sun-filled season produced small, intensely concentrated berries, while cool nights preserved freshness and balance—resulting in wines that are both powerful and precise.
Across Bordeaux, the results are striking. Cabernet-driven Left Bank wines show depth and structure with remarkable lift, while Right Bank blends lean into Merlot and Cabernet Franc for plush textures and aromatic clarity. Whites, picked early, stand out for their energy and tension.
With limited volumes and strong early demand, 2025 is shaping up as a modern benchmark—combining the richness of warmer vintages with the freshness and precision collectors prize. Availability will be tight, making early access essential.
