Château Giscours 2025
One of the largest and most prestigious estates in Margaux, Château Giscours spans nearly 100 hectares of prime gravelly vineyard land and has held Third Growth status since the 1855 Classification. The 2025 vintage marks the 30th vintage under the ownership of the Albada Jelgersma family, whose stewardship has transformed Giscours into one of the appellation's most admired properties. Following the acclaim of the 2022 vintage, named Wine Spectator's Wine of the Year, the château returns with a wine that captures the elegance and precision that define great Margaux. Neil Martin praised its "quintessential Margaux nose" of violets, iris, and dark berry fruit, calling it "one of the finest Giscours in recent years." Refined, structured, and age-worthy, this is a release collectors will not want to miss.

What the Critics Are Saying:
97-98, James Suckling, jamessuckling.com:
“Such a balanced and harmonious red with control, texture and length. It has aromas of red berries, cedar, pebbles and baking spices. Medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins. Velvety and attractive, with a long, flavorful, precise finish. A blend of 64% cabernet sauvignon, 31% merlot and 5% cabernet franc.”
95-97+, Antonio Galloni, vinous.com:
“The 2025 Giscours is another magnificent wine for a château that has made giant steps in the last handful of years. Plush and succulent in the glass, with silky, exceptionally polished tannins and stunning mid-palate richness, the Giscours is pure and total sensuality. Dark red-toned fruit, pomegranate, spice, new leather, incense and dried flowers all race across the palate. The purity of the flavors is just remarkable. Tasted two times.”

Châteaux Grand Puy Lacoste & Lacoste Borie 2025
Owned and managed by François-Xavier Borie and his children, these neighboring estates continue to set the standard for classic Pauillac. Grand-Puy-Lacoste, one of Zachys' perennial best-selling Bordeaux wines, has received consistently strong acclaim from the press this vintage and showed beautifully in our tastings. The 2025 marks a historic milestone as the first vintage produced in the estate's new gravity-fed winery, featuring parcel-by-parcel vinification and presented in a special engraved bottle commemorating the occasion. For those seeking a more approachable expression of Pauillac, Lacoste-Borie delivers the same precision and pedigree in a fresher, earlier-drinking style that we found especially charming this year.
Both wines are available in the château's exclusive "Variation" Cases, a unique offering ideal for celebrating milestone occasions such as weddings, births, and anniversaries. Each case includes a private château tour and tasting for four guests, creating a lasting experience alongside the wines themselves.

What the Critics Are Saying:
Ch. Grand Puy Lacoste
95-97 points, Yohan Castaing, robertparker.com:
“The 2025 Grand-Puy-Lacoste reveals a classic, refined bouquet of cassis, dark berries, cedar and lead pencil, with discreet floral nuances. Medium- to full-bodied, structured and precise, it’s built around a well-defined core of fruit framed by finely grained, youthful, filigreed tannins with a tensile profile. Less demonstrative than some of its peers in Pauillac, it privileges balance and typicity over sheer power, concluding with a long, elegant and mineral finish. Produced from a blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Merlot, this is the first vintage vinified in the estate’s new gravity-fed cellar, enabling more precise parcel selection—an evolution that appears to reinforce the wine’s precision and coherence.”
94-96 points, Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com:
“A Cabernet-dominant blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Merlot from yields of 30 hectoliters per hectare, the 2025 Château Grand Puy Lacoste is gorgeous, with ultra-classic Pauillac aromatics of red and black fruits, lead pencil, graphite, and crushed stone. Medium-bodied on the palate, it has a concentrated, layered mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It's up there with the top vintages of this cuvée, and it doesn't get more Pauillac than this.”
Ch. Lacoste Borie
91-93 points, Yohan Castaing, robertparker.com:
“The 2025 Lacoste-Borie, a blend of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc, planted at a lower density of 7,000 vines per hectare (versus 9,000 for Grand-Puy-Lacoste), is now more clearly defined and no longer conceived simply as a second wine. It reveals a gourmand, fresh bouquet of red berries, followed by a medium-bodied, juicy and elegant palate framed by fresh, velvety tannins and concluding with a long, ethereal and fruity finish. This is a refined and very appealing wine.”

Our Expert's Take on the 2025 Vintage: |
The story of 2025 begins with one defining factor: low yields. A dry, sun-filled season produced small, intensely concentrated berries, while cool nights preserved freshness and balance—resulting in wines that are both powerful and precise.
Across Bordeaux, the results are striking. Cabernet-driven Left Bank wines show depth and structure with remarkable lift, while Right Bank blends lean into Merlot and Cabernet Franc for plush textures and aromatic clarity. Whites, picked early, stand out for their energy and tension.
With limited volumes and strong early demand, 2025 is shaping up as a modern benchmark—combining the richness of warmer vintages with the freshness and precision collectors prize. Availability will be tight, making early access essential.
