We put together a round-up of drinks tied to some of this year's competing nations as a fun way to bring a little more of the world into your watch party.

Inspiration from around the globe

Brazil: Caipirinha

Cut a lime into wedges.
Muddle the lime wedges and 2 tsp sugar in a glass.
Fill the glass with ice, top with 2 oz cachaça, and stir well.
Garnish with a lime wheel.

Argentina: Fernet con Coca or "Fernandito"

Pre-chill your glass.
Prepare lemon slice wheel garnish.
Pour 1.5-2 oz Fernet Branca and 4-6 oz Coca-Cola into the glass.
Fill glass with ice, garnish with a lemon slice wheel, and enjoy.

Mexico: Paloma

Add 2 oz tequila, 0.5 oz lime juice, and pinch of salt to a glass, and fill with ice.
Top with 4 oz grapefruit soda and stir to combine.

Garnish with a lime wheel.

France: French 75

Add 1 oz gin, 0.5 oz lemon juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup to a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.
Strain into a Champagne flute.
Top with 3 oz Champagne or sparkling wine of choice.
Garnish with a lemon twist.
