Happy Sunday. Today, I’m determined to swim in the ocean at least one more time before the weather (and the water) cools down. As a certified Warm Weather Princess (look it up), I’m doing everything I can to hype myself up, including packing extra warm socks. A few more things I’m excited about:

Whether or not you know Stella Lefty by name, you’ve probably heard her hit song, “Boston.” If not, well, you likely know what it sounds like anyway — because it bears such a resemblance to Noah Kahan’s “Stick Season” that she gave him a last-minute writing credit. And somehow that’s not the rising country-pop star’s only “controversy”: Lefty (born Stella Lefkofsky, for those wondering) is the daughter of billionaire Groupon cofounder and Tempus AI CEO Eric Lefkofsky — a fact one X user memorably described as a “level of Nepo Baby that makes Gracie Abrams look like an orphan.” Plus, the 24-year-old is now facing even more accusations of, shall we say, unoriginality after internet sleuths started pointing out that several of her songs sound suspiciously similar to other artists’ (including one made famous by Hugh Jackman, of all people). All of which has resulted in an unfortunate (OK, kind of hilarious) nickname. Still, “Boston” has hit No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Lefty already sold out her first headlining tour. Fingers crossed Kahan makes a cameo at one of those shows — maybe they can work it out on the remix.
TV’s biggest night is almost here. Tomorrow, the 78th Emmy Awards will air live on NBC, hosted by (dun dun) Detective Olivia Benson — sorry, Mariska Hargitay. While we’re very excited to see the first woman host the ceremony in 15 years (and whatever musical number she seems to have up her sleeve), Amy Poehler, Zendaya, Jon Hamm, Keke Palmer, and Sally Field are also set to present. Plus, Buffy stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz will reportedly reunite onstage, as will first-run Charlie's Angels Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith, and Cheryl Ladd. Will The Pitt — which leads the night with 25 nods — dominate the drama category? Will double nominee Matthew Rhys win for both Widow’s Bay and The Beast in Me? And will Jean Smart take home her fifth Emmy for playing Deborah Vance? We’ll be watching at 8 pm ET.
